Our History

Our Show

South East Berkshire Gangshow First Hit the Stage in 1970 starting in Brackenhale, a local School Hall, from there it grew too large and after a couple of years moved to Camberley Civic Hall where it stayed for many years until moving to it’s current venue of the Wilde Theatre, South Hill Park, Bracknell.

We produce a show every year which takes place over the half term week in February, Our gang work from the beginning of September and rehearse every Sunday for the 6 months prior to the show. we have a dedicated team behind the show that work all year round to produce as professional a show as we can for our paying public.

Cast

Our cast size averages 90 to 100 members, both Girls and Boys, Ranging in age from 9 to 70 all being current members of the scout or guide association.

Production Team

The Production team is made up from department heads from the various departments of the show this includes, Producer, Assistant Producer, Director, Lighting, Costumes, Set Production, Stage Manager, Crew Manager, Band Master, Choreographer and Sound. Early in May a Production meeting is held to rough plan the show for the following February at this point a running order is put together and the various departments then go away and do some design work then in June we all come together to finalise the designs and colours for the show. The Production team work all year round to produce the show and usually start thinking about items to be included in the following years show during the time we are in the theatre.
